Marketing Manager

Design Post Amsterdam (DPA) is a collective of 9 high-end interior brands operating in the top architectural project and business market (ARCO, Arper, Artifort, Casala, Cascando, Eikelenboom, KVADRAT, Montis, XAL).

Rebranding Design Post
I set up a new cross-channel marketing strategy for DPA with a complementary overall social media campaign and redesigned their website to rebrand DPA and bring new eyes onto it.

I grew their online engagement (website/socials/email) by 50% by setting the right KPI’s and mapping out their target audience, creating effective social media campaigns and very successful B2B events targeting the top high-end architects in the Netherlands. These B2B events saw an increase of 250% in attendee’s compared to previous events in previous years. 

To complete the rebranded image of DPA, I set up lucrative barter deals for DPA to attract new sponsors in order to fully remodel their 1500m2 showroom (value of €60.000).

The Coven Models

The Coven Models has established itself as a personal, international mother agency booking jobs for brands like Prada, Dior, Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Loewe, Valentino, Victoria Beckham, Maison Margiela, Alaïa & JW Anderson year after year. In a fairly short time we were able to propel the agency from a national to a high-end international mother agency.

During my time at The Coven I have helped the company as well as our talent grow and reach their full potential. Being a Booking Agent was truly a multifaceted role. It involved a lot of:

  • multitasking, people (talent)management, project planning, social media guidance/management (learning and overseeing our talent’s social media accounts in order to teach them how to properly brand themselves and attract the right kind of audience to their social media accounts), networking with high-end brands and scouts, negotiating rates and contracts, model guidance on location and HR tasks.

Growing Talpa Network’s online engagement with 25%
As a marketeer at Talpa Network I was able to grow their social media/online engagement by 25% in a span of 2 years by setting up data driven social media campaigns. These campaigns were mainly focussed on targeting new and younger audiences for upcoming Dutch and international TV series shown on the 4 TV channels of Talpa TV. Weekly ratings varying between series of 450.000 / 1.500.000 views. In addition, additional social media campaigns were also set up for Talpa Radio’s 6 radio stations.

To ensure that these social media campaigns would be successful, I analyzed and set up large weekly data reports in order to reach the right KPI’s for these campaigns.

Large scale data survey’s to rebrand VOD-platform ‘KIJK’
Complementary to these weekly data reports I set up my own Marketing Survey with over 175.000 respondents in order to map out a new target group so the VOD-platform ‘KIJK’ could be rebranded in 2019.

Planning and executing campaign shoots for upcoming TV series
Planning and executing campaign shoots for upcoming TV series, managing teams on-and off site, setting up press events / B2B events and public events were weekly tasks. During these events I managed and briefed staff, interns and 3rd party suppliers (30-40 people).

During my time at Talpa TV I also oversaw and worked on the quarterly needed barter contracts for all 4 TV Channels and 6 Radio stations handeling large budgets upwards of €600.000-€800.000.

Planning and executing annual Award shows
At Hearst Magazines I planned and executed the annual award shows such as: ELLE Style Influencer Award, ELLE Decoration Live, Harper's Bazaar Woman of the Year awards, Esquire Best Dressed Man awards.

These events varied between being open to the public or ‘Invite Only events’ or B2B events. The 'Invite Only' awards shows hosted around 800-1500 attendees and the public events attracted between 1500-2000 people each time

By producing these events I’ve gained extensive experience in managing multiple teams simultaneously, managing 3rd party suppliers on and off-site (60-80 people), handeling large budgets (€40.000 - €60.000), created accurate briefings, time schedules, setting realistic deadlines, PR relations, and knowing how to motivate employees from all ages and all walks of life.

Fantastic Sunday @ Jimmy Woo Junior Event Manager

During 2012-2015 I produced, planned and executed the “FANTASTIC-Every Sunday” party in Amsterdam’s most popular nightclub ‘Jimmy Woo’ which has a capacity of 1700 people. The FANTASTIC-Every Sunday party was the best visited party on Sunday nights in Amsterdam. During these 4 years celebrities like Rihanna, Chris Brown, Kelis, Erykah Badu all visited the 'FANSTASTIC-Every Sunday' party.

Me and our small team worked tirelessly and close together each week to create the best party in town and keep the momemtum going.

Every month we came up with innovative concepts with complementary social media campaigns and several other offline activities like guerilla marketing tactics. On a weekly basis I worked on the social media campaigns (video/banners/pictures) and every Saturday I hosted the party and generated/handled the guest list.
